We were invited to the Bow Wow Brunch Cruise with Hornblower Cruise and Events benefiting the Helen Woodward Animal Center and what a Rufftastical time we had. Food, doggies, humans, prizes and even a doggie buffet. Everyday should be like today.

Our friends Laura and Ari from the Helen Woodward Animal Center came with little pups that were looking for their humans to rescue. We heard that three of them founds homes shortly after the cruise. I’m sure the other little pup will find a home soon. If you’d like to learn more about these pups or any of the other fuzzy creatures waiting for their humans to rescue, check out the HWAC’s website.
To a dog a human is the pet.
Sometimes I like to just sit back and doggie watch. This pooch was not happy at all that a human showed up wearing the same dress as her.
Chopper here is pretty well known in San Diego for riding on his little Harley around town. He’s quite the ladies dog.
Tell a dog they’re be food and we’ll show up with our appetite. Afterall, they say a way to a pooches heart is through their stomach.
We knew this was going to be special when so many pooches showed up for this cruise. Humans and pooches lined up to board this beautiful ship.
I wasted no time checking out the boat and from up here there view was spectacular.
The view from up here is great, but I really did think I saw Nemo. I heard that he went on an epic adventure once.
We had our very own doggie buffet. All kinds of treats were served and I felt it my responsibility to test them all to make sure they were up to my high standards before allowing all the other pups to eat them. I wasn’t immediately sure about a few of them so I had to try them several times.
My human said that his buffet was really yummy too. He was nice enough to sneak me some samples. I offered him some of my treats, but he refused. I don’t get. You humans are really picky. I mean I’ll eat my food and your food, but you don’t seem to like the taste of my food. Oh well, your loss.
This is the way life should be. Way to make use of those opposable thumbs there human.
When my human wasn’t looking, I made myself a little sumthin’ to take home for later.
I love it when I get to howl Happy Ruff Ruff for people and Becky here was taken totally by suprise as her fellow crew members came out with cake to wish her a Happy Birthday.
How much is that doggie in the window? The one with the short foofy tail.
We will do our due diligence to keep these floors clean. So go ahead and drop a few things down here for us to clean up.
This little jokester was trying to stir things up.
This little man totally saw the irony in his costume. He told me he was a little nervous walking around looking like food around all these hungry humans.
This little pups were naturally attracted to my humans charm and after hearing of our big adventure, they were hoping to come along. Unfortunately, we only have room for one, an let’s face it, he’d be lost without me.
Seriously. This little pooch was the captain and he quite frankly did a great job.
It was good to meet this pooch and his human who told us they had been following our adventures for a while.
This little super dog flew is to keep everyone safe. I’m pretty sure he’s the same dog I saw earlier with out the cape, but he forgot to take his glasses off when he turned into superdog.
We all know our human’s are crazy. They dress us up and give us funny little names and we let them because let’s face it, we love them.
These pampered ladies just talked about the Kardashian’s and took selfies and worried about their looks all day.
Cleopatra here was awfully cute, but I think she had had enough posing for people. The noises coming out of this little monster were hilarious.
She swore she was enjoying herself, but that expression is telling me that she doesn’t think orange is her color.
If my human tries to dress me like this I will bite him.
He was a greeter. Such a friendly pooch and would just walk up and introduce himself to everyone.
A few of the costumes were a little hard to understand. I think they said he was supposed to be the Evil Dr. Pepper.
This pooch won the talent show by showing everyone how to pray.
The crew members really knew how to make us feel comfortable. Sometimes an impromptu message is just what the dogter ordered.
Can you find me?
What a fun way to spend the afternoon. If you come to San Diego you should bring your human’s on one of these cruises. Great way to meet others and see the City skyline from the bay.
This land is your land. This land is my land. From California, to the New York Islands. From the Redwood Forests, to the gulf stream waters. This land was made for you and me.
